Jose Mourinho has made six changes to his Chelsea team who lost to 3-1 to Newcastle at the weekend for tonight's Champions League tie against Sporting at Stamford Bridge.

Gary Cahill, Cesar Azpilicueta, Jon Obi Mikel, Cesc Fabregas and Diego Costa keep their places in the Blues XI.

Chelsea are already guaranteed to finish as Group G leaders. Sporting will fail to qualify if they lose at Chelsea and third-placed Schalke beat Maribor.

Nemanja Matic, who was suspended for the Newcastle defeat, comes back into the midfield.

If Schalke win and Sporting draw, then the Portuguese side will qualify courtesy of their superior head-to-head record.

Chelsea: Cech, Azpilicueta, Cahill, Zouma, Luis, Fabregas, Mikel, Matic, Salah, Costa, Schurrle.

Subs: Beeney, Ivanovic, Ramires, Oscar, Drogba, Remy, Loftus-Cheek.

Sporting: Rui Patricio, Ricardo Esgaio, Mauricio, Paulo Oliveira, Silva, Joao Mario, William Carvalho, Adrien Silva, Carrillo, Slimani, Diego Capel.

Subs: Marcelo, Andre Martins, Montero, Rosell, Sarr, Carlos Mane, Andre Geraldes.

Referee: Svein Oddvar Moen (Norway)
