Barcelona ran riot at the Santiago Bernabeu during Saturday’s El Clasico and cosigned Real Madrid to their worst home defeat in six years.

Luis Suarez set the tone early on when he directed Sergi Roberto’s through ball into the bottom-left hand corner and, from then on, Madrid seemed powerless to recover.

The dynamism of Barcelona’s attacking play cut through Rafael Benitez’s defensive set-up time and time again as chaos reigned among Los Blancos’ backline.

Neymar got the second before half-time, slotting the ball beneath Keylor Navas’ legs. Andres Iniesta added a third after a brilliant backheel from Neymar, thundering his shot into the net.

Luis Enrique’s side were not in the mood to show mercy. Despite Cristiano Ronaldo and Karim Benzema at times forcing the best out of the superb Claudio Bravo, the home side could not find any breakthrough.

Suarez grabbed his second before the night’s work was done, played through on goal by late substitute Lionel Messi, who had to make do with a bit part.
