Leicester City have been drawn against Porto, Club Brugge and FC Copenhagen in Group G of the Champions League.

The Foxes are making their first appearance in Europe having won the 2015/16 Premier League title following a historic season in England's top division.

Pot two opponents Porto will pose the greatest obstacle for the Foxes as they attempt to secure a spot in the last 16 stage.

The Portuguese outfit have an impressive record in Europe having won five trophies, most recently lifting the Europa League in 2011.

They won the Champions League itself in 2004 when they overcame AS Monaco in the final – their second title in the competition having won the European Cup in 1987.

Speaking to the Leicester City website, manager Claudio Ranieri said: “Now that the teams have been drawn that excitement is building even more and although it won’t be easy against great champions like Porto, like everyone, I’m curious to see how my players perform.”

“Once again I say we are underdogs. For this reason we must fight for everything. I want to see my players fight against the best in Europe.
