It’s a big game for…

JESUS NAVAS: The City winger is facing his hometown club for the first time since moving to the Premier League and will be relishing the prospect of taking on some of his former teammates. He helped Sevilla win the UEFA Cup twice in consecutive years, from 2005-2007.

Best stat…

30: None of Manchester City’s 30 Champions League matches have finished goalless, while they have only kept four clean sheets in those 30. The last of those came when they visited Roma in December 2014 and won 2-0.

Remember when…

Yaya Toure hit two to secure Manchester City’s last win over Spanish opposition almost four years ago. Toure’s double, along with Mario Balotelli’s penalty, helped City to a 3-0 win away at Villarreal however Roberto Mancini’s side did not progress beyond the group stages in the Champions League that season.

Player to watch…

STEVEN N’ZONZI: The former Stoke City man has become a key player in Sevilla’s midfield since signing in the summer for £7million from Mark Hughes’ side. Last season’s Europa League winners have used N’Zonzi in both their Champions League ties and six of their eight league matches and the Frenchman has two goals.

Manchester City and Sevilla have never met in a competitive game before
