Alvaro Morata returned to the Bernabeu to haunt Real Madrid and send Juventus through to the Champions League Final.

The 22-year-old, who scored the opener in Turin against Carlo Ancelotti’s side, once again reminded his former boss of his striking qualities having been deemed surplus to requirements by the Liga giants.

Last season, Morata averaged a goal every 70 minutes in the league for Real, but was allowed to leave the club in the summer. Juventus snapped him up for £20 million. How sweet a signing that must feel now for Massimiliano Allegri.

In truth, Real Madrid were made to pay for not capitalising on a first half that saw Juventus’ back four fail to win a single challenge throughout the half.

But who was the man of the match? Click through our player ratings gallery below...

Cristiano Ronaldo’s penalty had looked to be sending Ancelotti’s side through on away goals, but once again a midfielder lacking of notable defensive cover was caught out and, thanks to some questions goalkeeping, Iker Casillas’ goal was breached.

Juventus will now play in their first Champions League Final for 12 years, facing Barcelona in Berlin on June 6.
