Spanish player receives funny treatment on pitch

Sporting Charleroi’s Javi Martos went down after being on the wrong end of a robust challenge by Club Brugge’s Obbi Oulare.

The medic rushed onto the pitch to treat the injured Spaniard by lifting his shorts and spraying the injured area for a prolonged period of time. Martos’ facial expressions illustrate the distress he was in, with the spray presumably numbing the pain.

Despite the treatment looking rather strange, it certainly did the trick, with the Sporting Charleroi captain able to continue in the Belgian Pro League match.

The match ended in a goalless draw.
