Cambridge vs Manchester United FA Cup tie to be shown on BBC on Friday night

Arsenal's trip to Brighton will also be shown on television

Manchester United’s FA Cup fourth round trip to League Two Cambridge United will take place on a Friday night after BBC opted to screen the fixture. The tie, pitting the lowest-ranked side left in the competition with the 11-time winners, will be the Old Trafford side’s 44 successive FA Cup match to be televised when the side run out at the Abbey Stadium on 23 January. Kick-off is at 7.55pm.

Four other matches will be televised from round four, with BBC plumping for Everton/West Ham’s trip to Doncaster/Bristol City on the Sunday, 25 January, kick-off at 2pm.

BT Sport will screen Arsenal’s trip to Brighton at 4pm on the same day, Championship Bolton’s short trek to Liverpool on the Saturday (5.30pm) and also Stoke City’s visit to Rochdale’s Spotland Stadium on the Monday night (8pm). BBC Wales will show Blackburn’s home tie with Swansea on Saturday lunchtime.

Everton and West Ham United, who drew their original tie 1-1 at Goodison Park on Tuesday on BT Sport, will meet again for the Upton Park replay seven days later on the same channel, while Southampton’s trip to Championship high-fliers Ipswich is to be screened on BBC next Wednesday night.
