A menacing Eastleigh supporter nearly took the headlines during the 1-1 draw with Bolton Wanderers this afternoon – almost scoring a goal for the non-league hosts.

Championship side Bolton salvaged a reply in the FA Cup third round tie at the Silverlake Stadium thanks to Darren Pratley’s 87th equaliser following Dorian Dervite’s own goal.

But the match was nearly overshadowed when a supporter climbed over the advertising hoardings and onto the field of play.

Wearing a bright orange hoodie underneath a white jacket, the unnamed pest galloped through Eastleigh’s midfield and into the goalmouth – just as the hosts were attacking.

As Kaid Mohamed and Andy Drury try to beat Wanderers goalkeeper Ben Amos, the fan races into the penalty box and nearly latches onto the rebound.

It is not known what happened to the pitch invader after the clip ends.
