FA Cup semi-final draw: Manchester United face Chelsea while Arsenal meet City
Remaining fixtures in the competition will be held behind closed doors at Wembley
Manchester United will face Chelsea in the FA Cup semi-finals, while Arsenal will take on Manchester City.
The semi-finals will take place at Wembley Stadium on the weekend of 18-19 July, and the final will be played at the same ground on 1 August.
All remaining fixtures in the competition will be played behind closed doors due to social distancing measures around the coronavirus crisis.
United defeated Norwich 2-1 on Saturday to secure their final-four spot, with Harry Maguire scoring at the end of extra-time after Todd Cantwell had cancelled out Odion Ighalo’s opener.
Chelsea overcame Leicester 1-0 on Sunday, booking their place in the semi-finals thanks to a Ross Barkley goal.
Arsenal beat Sheffield United in added time earlier in the day, with Dani Ceballos breaking Blades fans’ hearts moments after David McGoldrick equalised for the hosts. Nicolas Pepe had opened the scoring in the first half from the penalty spot.
Holders City saw off Newcastle 2-0 at St James’ Park to secure the last semi-final spot after Kevin De Bruyne scored from the spot and Raheem Sterling doubled the visitors’ lead.
The draw was carried out live on the BBC at Newcastle, with Alan Shearer pulling out the balls on his own to adhere to avoid the challenges of adhering to social distancing measures.
