Albert Adomah boosted Mark Venus's chances of becoming the next Middlesbrough manager by inspiring a 4-0 home win over Doncaster Rovers in the Championship.

Boro, who parted company with Tony Mowbray on Monday, took the lead after just eight minutes through Adomah's smart finish. The winger, Kei Kamara and Daniel Ayala then capitalised on poor defending at set-pieces to delight caretaker manager Venus.
