Bradford duo dismissed for bullying
Bradford City have sacked two of their young players following alleged bullying on the training pitch.
Ben Jones and Adam Hardy, both 18, were in the first year of their professional contracts with the First Division club. They were sent from training on Sunday.
Jones has been a substitute in the Premiership and Intertoto Cup, while Hardy came off the bench in the Intertoto Cup and the Worthington Cup. Both had allegedly ignored repeated warnings about their behaviour.
City's manager Jim Jefferies said: "It's unfortunate because they are young lads and wanted to make the grade. But they were warned and it still carried on. This is a harsh lesson to them and to other young players about what is expected of them." The players can appeal to the Football League.
