Anthony Martial could make first France start, Manchester United forward will hope it goes better than 16 minute cameo against Portugal
Les Bleus take on Serbia this evening
Manchester United new boy Anthony Martial could make his first ever start for the French national team this evening when they take on Serbia.
Should he do so, the £36m deadline-day signing will be hoping it goes better than his 16 minute debut for Les Bleus against Portugal last Friday.
The 19-year-old came on for Karim Benzema with 16 minutes remaining, but despite being on the pitch when Mathieu Valbuena scored the winning goal in the 1-0 win, he struggled to make an impact on the match.
Offering up little more than a few wayward passes was not the first impression Martial would have wanted to make, particularly with new team-mate Wayne Rooney probably tuning in for the game after admitting he didn't know much about the youngster.
You can watch highlights of Martial's performance below...
Martial is expected to be given more time to make an impression during tonight's game against Serbia, which kicks off at 7.45pm.
