Costa Rica vs Greece team news: 'Minnows' fight to make their first appearance in the quarter-finals

Changes for both teams who are each trying to make the last eight for the first time

Greece manager Fernando Santos will make just one change to the team that beat the Ivory Coast last week.

Santos does have goalkeeper Orestis Karnezis fit for the game, despite his early exit from the game against the Ivory Coast.

However Panagiotis Kone, who also limped out of that game, has not recovered in time to feature in this one. Olympiacos winger Andreas Samaris, who has just five caps, will come in for the Bologna man.

Costa Rica manager Jorge Pinto will bring back the two players who were missing during the 0-0 draw with Roy Hodgson's England.

Roy Miller is replaced by Michael Umana, the most experienced player in the Costa Rica side, in the centre of defence, while Cristian Bolanos comes in on the wing for Randall Brenes.
