Before the match, England manager Roy Hodgson said England would not be "experimental mode" for the game.
"We are not in an experimental mode, we think we've done enough experimenting," said Hodgson.
"We think we do know what we want to do, we think we know the players who are capable of helping us to do what we want to do."
