England may have struggled to victory in Estonia on Sunday night, but the world of social media wasn’t taking aim at the players, and Roy Hodgson wasn’t even in the crosshairs of the angry Three Lions’ faithful. The name on everyone’s lips was none other than ITV co-commentator Andy Townsend.

The former Republic of Ireland international has often been criticised for his generic views during ITV’s live broadcast of England matches, although the players haven’t given him too much to shout about in recent times.

Regular viewers will recognise frequent “Not for me, Clive” and “Better” ring out during a painful 90 minutes period. The 51-year-old has been subject to calls from Twitter users to be replaced, so is this criticism justified, or are there worse co-commentators out there who are going under the radar?

Please allow a moment for the vote to load.

We’ll close the vote at 3pm on Monday 13 October, and reveal the results later in the day.
