While the likes of Holland, Scotland and Denmark have missed out on the Euro’s after poor qualification campaigns, some are absent due to season-ending injuries and bad luck.

While they might still find themselves at the Stade de France on 10 July, it’ll have to be in a box-seat.

Broken ankles, thigh strains, and the dreaded metatarsal that nearly left David Beckham out of England’s World Cup squad back in 2002, have come out in full force.

Take a look at our starting XI from players missing out on this year’s continental showpiece above. Could they maybe have lifted the Henri Delaunay Cup?

Which star absentees do you wish you could see playing at this summer's tournament? Which team is most likely to suffer from having several key players in the treatment room? Will England miss the likes of Luke Shaw, Jack Butland and Danny Welbeck?
