England will play Iceland in the last-16 of the European Championship after Portugal drew 3-3 with Hungary in Lyon.

Roy Hodgson's side travel to Nice's Allianz Riviera to play Lars Lagerback's side on Monday 27 June in a 8.00pm kick-off.

The last time the two sides met, England smashed Iceland 6-1 in the 2004 FA Summer Tournament, held prior to Euro 2004.

Frank Lampard and Wayne Bridge goals bookended braces by Wayne Rooney and Darius Vassell in the rout at the City of Manchester Stadium.

The only other fixture between the two nations was held in 1982 in Reykjavik.

Paul Goddard scored for Ron Greenwood's men in a 1-1 draw.

England's failure to beat Slovakia on Monday consigned them to second-place in Group B behind Wales, who will face one of tournament's best third-place sides.
