Andros Townsend came off the bench and scored with a stunning strike to cancel out Graziano Pelle's opener for Italy as England claimed a 1-1 friendly draw in Turin.

Here, we take a look at some of the reaction to the result.

Ian Wright on ITV - "(Fabian) Delph and (Jordan) Henderson, and even (Phil) Jones, it's like they were afraid to do anything going forward. Ross Barkley came on, he wants to go forward with the ball, the same with (Michael) Carrick and then Andros Townsend. You see how he's affected the game, going forward, doing something positive. It's brilliant."

Glenn Hoddle on ITV - "First half they were very, very pedestrian. You make substitutions to affect the game and they affected it in a very positive way. Chalk and cheese first half and second half, England were excellent second half."

Gary Lineker on Twitter - "Funny how much harder football is against decent opposition. So much dross in the qualifiers.

"After a lot of dross we got Andros."

Philip Neville on Twitter - "Barkley is class!!!"
