Luis Suarez's latest shenanigans have won him the scorn and disgust of almost the entire footballing world, but now it appears he has earned himself opprobrium from much further afield.

Musician Bruce Springsteen is the latest to jump on the Suarez-bashing bandwagon, as vilification of the Uruguayan striker spreads to unlikely places.

'The Boss' claimed to have been watching the World Cup "a little bit" but he had strong words for football's maleficent masticator following his actions against Italy.

"What are the rules about biting in the World Cup?" he asked TMZ

"There probably should be one. Biting has no place in sports."

It is yet to be established whether or not Suarez is a big Springsteen fan, although presumably if so his favourite song is 'Hungry Heart'.
