The Irish Football Association has received planning permission to redevelop Windsor Park at a total cost of £29.2m.

Northern Ireland's home ground, which is also that of Irish League champions Linfield, will be expanded to a capacity of 18,000 with all four stands being renovated, or rebuilt. Work is due to begin in September, with all but £4m being funded by local government.

Windsor Park is being redeveloped in conjunction with upgrades of Ravenhill, the home of Ulster Rugby Union, and Casement Park, which hosts major Gaelic Football matches.
