The Wales captain, Aaron Ramsey, will miss tomorrow's Gary Speed Memorial Match against Costa Rica, due to an ankle injury. The 21-year-old Arsenal midfielder led Wales to four wins in five games before Speed's death in November.

Ramsey has failed to recover from an injury he picked up in the Gunners' FA Cup defeat against Sunderland. He will be present to pay his respects to the former Wales manager.

The only other fitness doubt is goalkeeper Boaz Myhill, who has an Achilles injury.

Papiss Cissé will miss Senegal's friendly with South Africa tomorrow because of injury. The forward is thus a doubt for Newcastle against Sunderland on Sunday.
