Follow all the reaction from the Etihad Stadium after a dominant display from Pep Guardiola’s side
Follow for live reaction after Manchester City moved four points clear at the top of the Premier League table as they produced a commanding performance to thrash Leeds United 7-0 at the Etihad Stadium.
Phil Foden struck City in front after eight minutes with a bobbled shot from outside of the box that Leeds defender Stuart Dallas was unable to clear off the line. Jack Grealish then ended his 10-match run without a goal as he headed in Riyad Mahrez’s cross to put City two up inside 13 minutes, before Kevin De Bruyne made it three shortly after the half-hour mark.
City picked up where they left off after half-time as Mahrez’s deflected effort made it four, before De Bruyne thundered in a fifth from outside of the box. John Stones and Nathan Ake then got in on the act as Leeds fell apart. Follow all the reaction to a brilliant City performance below:

Reaction from Kevin De Bruyne
BT Sport spoke to Manchester City’s Kevin De Bruyne after his man of the match performance against Leeds, he said:
Man City hit Leeds for seven to extend Premier League run and go four points clear at top
It was after the fifth, we think, that all four sides of the Etihad spontaneously broke into the Poznan. That dance is only occasionally seen around these parts these days, saved by Manchester City supporters for special games, special performances and special goals. But then how else to describe Kevin De Bruyne’s spectacular 30-yard strike, which set Leeds United up to suffer the joint-worst defeat in their history?
De Bruyne’s stop-start season, disrupted by injury and Covid-19, has lift-off after his brace in an emphatic 7-0 battering. The defending champions and league leaders otherwise shared the bounty around, with Phil Foden, Jack Grealish, Riyad Mahrez, John Stones and even Nathan Ake buttressing a goal difference figure that may make all the difference come the end of the season. And not just at the top of the table, either.

Man City vs Leeds player ratings: Kevin De Bruyne stars as champions eviscerate visitors
Manchester City handed Leeds United a torturous Premier League defeat on Tuesday evening, beating the injury-hit visitors 7-0 at the Etihad Stadium.
A scintillating showing from Phil Foden saw the England midfielder open the scoring and provide the assist for substitute Nathan Ake’s goal – the seventh of the night – but it was De Bruyne who starred with two powerful finishes.
Jack Grealish, Riyad Mahrez and John Stones – the latter out of position at right-back – also got on the scoresheet, as Pep Guardiola’s unusual line-up erased any doubts that it could function efficiently.

Man City 7 - 0 Leeds
87 mins: Leeds’s players just want to get off the field. They’ve chased the ball all over the pitch tonight and look knackered. Fernandinho carries it towards the penalty area and Klich comes across to cynically push him over. City are awarded a free kick and De Bruyne sends it safely into the hands of Meslier.
Man City 7 - 0 Leeds
84 mins: Close! Foden want another one. He moves the ball into space on the inside left and drills another shot from outside the box. The ball continues to rise though and flies over the crossbar as Foden hangs his head in frustration. You wouldn’t think City were seven goals to the good with that reaction.
