Football clubs and players have paid tributes to those who have lost their lives in terror attacks in Brussels.

Multiple casualties have been reported at Zaventem airport and Maelbeek metro station in the Belgian capital, while authorities have now raised the country's terrorism threat level to its highest setting.

The attacks occurred four days after Salah Abdesalem, a fugitive wanted in connection with attacks in Paris last November, was captured in the city’s neighbourhood of Molenbeek.

Belgium’s national team cancelled a training session which was scheduled to take place this morning ahead of their friendly match against Portugal, which is scheduled to be played on 29 March in Brussels.

Norwich City have confirmed that striker Dieumerci M’Bokani is unharmed after he was present at Zaventem airport when the attacks took place.

A number of high-profile Belgian players have paid respect to the victims…

A number of Premier League clubs also paid tribute…

France’s international players, who were deeply affected by November’s attacks in Paris, have also let it be known that their thoughts are with the Belgian people.
