Petr Cech trained with the Arsenal squad for the first time today, although eagle-eyed viewers will spot that he still does not have a shirt number.

The 33-year-old signed for the Gunners from Chelsea for £11m last month, and faces a fight with either No 1 Wojciech Szczesny or No 13 David Ospina for a place in between the sticks at the club next season.

Ospina has been heavily linked with a move away from the Emirates this summer, with Everton the most recent side linked.

Cech was put through his paces at Arsenal's London Colney training ground for the first time today.

He has been named in the 27-man Gunners' squad that will play in the two game Asia Trophy in Singapore.

The Gunners are only away for around a week with a match against a Singapore Select XI on 15 July and then either a 'final' or third-place play-off on 18 July. They will then return to England in time to prepare for the Emirates Cup on 25-26 July.

Meanwhile, Cech must "get rid of his love" for Chelsea if he is to be a success at Arsenal, says former Gunners goalkeeper Jens Lehmann.

"Before you can have it in your heart to win titles again, you have to get rid of the love you had before," the German told the Sun on Sunday. "As a professional, he must get over [his relationship with Chelsea] and needs to know Arsenal want him to win things again for them.
