Spurs players and members of Jurgen Klinsmann's US national team went head-to-head at Tottenham's training ground for the NBA #HalfCourt challenge.
Roberto Soldado, Etienne Capoue and Brad Friedel joined Aston Villa's Brad Guzan, Stoke's Geoff Cameron to attempt a shot from the half-way line of a basketball court, about 47ft.
The Americans led the way with Friedel finding the net for Spurs and Cameron scoring for the US.
“I grew up in Cleveland, basketball is one of the main sports,” said Friedel on his prowess, while Cameron added: “growing up in America obviously you play a lot of basketball!”
The players were also asked to name a fantasy basketball team made up of their footballing peers.
Brad Guzan said: “I’d definitely put Peter Crouch on there to play in the middle.
“I’d have [Lionel] Messi running the point guard” and selected himself to play as a power forward.
Friedel said: “I might actually put Etienne Capoue in, he’s actually not bad, don’t tell him that!”
