The Arsenal manager appears to have 'mistakenly' ended up crashing this promo picture

Arsene Wenger is partial to a joke or two.

A few weeks back when being asked relentlessly whether Arsenal were going to sign anyone he quipped that he wouldn't mind some help from the assembled journalists.

"Unfortunately no [we haven't made progress yet]," he said when quizzed. "But if you have a good idea, you can text me somewhere to the club."

Not exactly a side-splitter but it seems the Arsenal manager has upped his game.

Earlier this week images were sent out to promote the 60th anniversary of the Citroen DS. Those behind it managed to convince a few of the Arsenal players to dress up in some old football kit and pull a few poses next to the classic car.

But as Laurent Koscielny, Mathieu Flamini, David Ospina and Theo Walcott showcased their best smiles for the camera it seems their manager felt left out.

Amongst the promotional images one sees Wenger photobomb the shoot by taking a stroll in the background. With his arms swinging and a discreet look towards the camera Wenger almost appears to recreate perhaps one of the most famous conspiracy images of all-time - that of Bigfoot (aka Sasquatch).

Whilst the mythical Bigfoot reputedly inhabits forests, Wenger was simply outside Arsenal's training centre.
