Some of the world's greatest ever players head to Old Trafford on Saturday afternoon for a charity match to raise money for Unicef.

Sir Alex Ferguson returns to the home dugout and David Beckham will captain a GB & Ireland XI against a World team that includes a highly decorated group of players.

Captained by Zinedine Zidane, the World team has won eight World Cups, three European Championships, the Champions League 11 times and has seven Ballon d'Or trophies between them - Carlo Ancelotti is the manager for the visitors.

The British team, will certainly have their work cut out, but they will be cheered on by a sold out crowd of 75,000 at Old Trafford, with all profits and donations to go to the global children's charity.

The match will also be refereed by Italian legend Pierluigi Collina, who was named Europe's top referee six years in a row.

"I want a world where children can grow up safe from violence, free from poverty and protected from preventable diseases," Beckham said in the build up to the game. "This match gives me the perfect opportunity to raise awareness and vital funds to help reach the children who need it most. I am delighted that my friend Zizou will join me in leading two teams, full of our friends and team-mates, at the best stadium in the world."
