Former Arsenal striker Benik Afobe is the top scorer across all four English divisions, unseating Tottenham star Harry Kane at the top of the charts.

The 22-year-old scored his 30th goal of the season during Wolves’ defeat to Birmingham, bringing his total since moving to Molineux up to 11.

He also struck 19 times while on loan at MK Dons earlier in the campaign, including two in the club’s famous 4-0 Capital One Cup victory over Manchester United.

Afobe looks set to widen his lead, having scored in each of his last three games, whereas England-international Kane has failed to find the net in his previous two.

The young pair are both some way clear of their closest rival, Manchester City’s Sergio Agüero, who has notched 25 times.

Afobe, who joined the Gunners as a six-year old, is said to be delighted with how he has started at his new club, having moved to Wolves during the recent January transfer window.
