Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has been confirmed as the new manager of Cardiff City.

The Norwegian is best known on these shores for his time with Manchester United, where he built a reputation as a super-sub, culminating in his Champions League final winner against Bayern Munich in 1999.

With the nickname of the baby faced assassin, he replaces Malky Mackay in the Welsh capital.

Since retiring from playing, Solskjaer has managed the Manchester United reserve team, and for the last three years has enjoyed a successful spell as manager of Molde in his native country.
