Supporters review of the season: Manchester United

Onlookers will observe that United's season has included the usual march towards a glittering haul of trophies, but the campaign has followed a strange course.

A parsimonious defence ensured we approached the final furlongs in pole position, but the team has lacked fluency and sparkle. Many fans highlight the problematic integration of Dimitar Berbatov and the unprofessional tantrums of Cristiano Ronaldo, but the team has battled through, relying on little more than wild talent and a bludgeoning competitive instinct. The progress of Jonny Evans, Danny Welbeck, Rafael and Federico Macheda has restored waning faith in the youth system, and, at times, proved vital. Sir Alex Ferguson's endless mastery and a new, gnarly arrogance in Europe hint that this may prove the most successful period in the club's history.

Which team were your best opponents?

Liverpool. Though Rafa Benitez often disables their play with caution, our greatest rivals are steadily improving and tough to play against.

Who would you most like your team to sign this summer?

If Xavi, the Catalan Paul Scholes, fancies a move to Salford, I wouldn't say no.

What was the weirdest/funniest moment of your season?

The audible, collective gasp around Old Trafford every time Berbatov bursts into a gallop.
