Welsh minnows Aberystwyth Town have taken a dig at football giants Manchester United.

The Seasiders, who finished seventh in the Welsh Premier League, have a relatively short trip to Derry to play Derry City in the first qualifying round of the Europa League.

United, despite their vast budget and global brand, failed to make European competition after a disastrous season under David Moyes.

The Welsh club, who have their first leg on Thursday night, took a dig at the Red Devils on their Twitter page.

"Hey @ManUtd, we are all off to Europe... Are you???"

Under new boss Louis van Gaal, the club have already spent nearly £70m on Ander Herrera and Luke Shaw.

It probably won't be too long before they are back.
