Adnan Januzaj scores twice in Manchester United Under-21 match to remind Louis van Gaal of ability
The Belgium international was on his first outing since returning from loan at Borussia Dortmund
Adnan Januzaj forced himself back into the reckoning at Manchester United with two goals for the club's Under-21 side last night.
The Belgium international was sent out on loan to Borussia Dortmund for the season but after failing to make an impression in the Bundesliga, saw his time at the Westfalenstadion cut short.
Whilst returning to Manchester United early was an embarrassing development for the 20-year-old, it has provided Januzaj with an opportunity to force Louis van Gaal to reassess his view of him and his performance last night will have gone some way to fulfilling that.
He opened the scoring against Southampton Under-21s with a deflected shot just before half-time, won a penalty which was converted by Will Keane and netted again himself when he smashed home in the 79th minute.
The 4-0 win at Leigh Sports Village was Januzaj's first outing since returning from Dortmund and will have allayed concerns about a lack of match fitness.
Manchester United play Southampton at Old Trafford this Saturday.
