Will Premier League clubs ever learn?

Despite this happening every single time a Twitter Q&A is held, they continue to plough ahead with them in the vain hope that sensible questions will be asked.

They never do.

Arsenal held a bumper session of Q&As with their players on Thursday, with five members of the first team taking part, but it was the hugely popular Per Mertesacker who drew the best responses.

Mertesacker, known as The BFG among Arsenal fans (translated to Big F******* German, not Big Friendly Giant), is loved because despite his major flaw of not being able to run, he has been generally excellent since arriving at the Emirates.

Usually it's opposing fans who give a player stick, but plenty of Gooners also chimed in with some light mocking.

Below are some of the best questions.

With Nacho Monreal set to play at centre-back against Hull on Saturday, Arsenal fans will need The BFG to be at his best.
