Arsene Wenger video: Footage emerges of Arsenal fans abusing long-serving manager after Stoke defeat

Video emerges on YouTube of French boss being jeered at Stoke-on-Trent station after 3-2 defeat at the Britannia Stadium

Video footage has emerged of Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger being told to "get out" of the club by Gunners fans at Stoke-on-Trent train station.

Wenger was loudly booed by Arsenal fans at the station following the 3-2 defeat at the hands of Stoke City, a game that saw Arsenal losing 3-0 at half-time, on Saturday afternoon.

Arsenal, who have beaten lost to Stoke five times and won just once in eight matches at the Britannia in all competitions since they were promoted to the Premier League in 2008, are now sixth in the league, 13 points behind league-leaders Chelsea.

A small number of fans appeared to be waiting for the French manager at the station, shouting "there he is" before loudly booing Wenger, while one continually shouts "get out" at Wenger and another says "f*** off".

Wenger, who has won three Premier League titles and five FA Cups in 17 years, hurried past the fans to board the train.

Speaking after the game, Wenger said that his Arsenal defence had been "soft" in their play, with all three goals coming from crucial mistakes by his players.

“We expected [Laurent] Koscielny to play, so that was a surprise [when he did not],” the Stoke manager said. “When you’ve had changes in the back four, as we’ve had in recent weeks too, it can upset the balance of your team.”
