Marcos Alonso scored a late winning goal against an Arsenal side which should really have been finished off much earlier as Chelsea beat their London rivals 3-2 in a thrilling contest.

In a fast and open start to the game, Pedro and Alvaro Morata gave Chelsea an early advantage inside the first 20 minutes. Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Alex Iwobi scored shortly before half time to bring the game level against the run of play.

Chelsea brought on Eden Hazard, Olivier Giroud and Mateo Kovacic as the game wore on, but Alonso was the match winner in the 81st minute.

Mesut Ozil was replaced in the second half and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang missed a handful of good chances as Arsenal's stars continue a slow start to the season.
