Oscar put Chelsea into the lead against their local rivals with a brilliant outside of the foot finish.

Cesc Fabregas was again the man to provide the assist for a man in Blue, taking his tally to the season for nine.

Fabregas broke forward from midfield to just inside the box, releasing the ball to the Brazilian who was to the right; Oscar hit the shoot with the outside of his boot, brilliantly putting it beyond Rob Green into the far corner.

It may seem like business as usual but despite Chelsea dominating possession, as one might expect, QPR did have a couple of half chances.

Charlie Austin headed just over after a cross from the left while Leroy Fer took a fraction too long when he was faced with a two-on-two situation.

That had come after Oscar, involved in a quick-one two with the returning Diego Costa, and Branislav Ivanovic, who fired wired at the near post, could have opened the scoring in the early exchanges.

Costa was his usual hustling and bustling self, but did not get a chance to add to his nine Premier League goals in the first 45 minutes.
