Everton manager David Moyes hails 'The Bouncer' Leroy Fer
David Moyes believes Leroy Fer – nicknamed "The Bouncer" – will prove an exciting young addition to the Premier League.
Everton announced yesterday that they had agreed an £8.6m deal with FC Twente for the Dutch midfielder. Fer, 23, got his nickname because of his combative style and is poised to become Everton's first signing of the January transfer window.
Moyes said: "He's a really good player. He's someone who we've liked for a long time. He's young and he's certainly an up-and-coming prospect."
Fer will not be available for the match against West Bromwich Albion but could make his debut against Aston Villa on Saturday.
