Five current Premier League players have been named on the 23 man list to win the Fifa Ballon d'Or.

The English top-flight has seen its reputation slightly diminish in recent seasons, with no English team reaching the quarter-final of the Champions League last term.

This has not filtered through to the 23 man list to win world football's premier individual award, with the Premier League having the same current amount of players on the list as the Bundesliga.

Only La Liga (11) has more players featured, including six from Barcelona.

Italy's Serie A and Ligue 1 have one player each.
