Manchester United fans mocked their Chelsea counterparts over the future of John Terry during Sunday's Premier League meeting at Stamford Bridge.

The Chelsea captain revealed last Sunday that he was not being offered a new contract and that he expected to leave the club where he has spent the entirety of his career when the current season comes to an end.

When Terry's name was read out ahead of kick-off it was acknowledged with a loud cheer by the home supporters, with fans singing "We want you to stay, we want you to stay, John Terry, we want you to stay!" and "Sign him up, sign him up."

However, Terry's first home appearance since making the situation public didn't go unchecked by the away supporters who sang "Viva John Terry".

There remains hope among Chelsea fans that the contract stand-off between Terry and the club may be resolved. Terry made no mention of the situation in his programme notes.
