Jurgen Klopp has reportedly told friends that he is interested in taking over as Liverpool manager this summer.

The Borussia Dortmund manager will be in charge of the Yellow and Blacks for the final time this weekend when they contest the German Cup Final. After that, the much coveted coach will be a free agent, and is understood to be keen to take on a new job as soon as possible.

According to reports in Germany, the hot-seat at Anfield is an attractive proposition for Klopp.

The availability of the 47-year-old will only add to the pressure on current Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers. A 6-1 defeat on the final day of the season compounded a disappointing season that saw the club finish sixth in the table.

Rodgers is due to meet with Liverpool's owners next month to review the season and will have to do so in the shadow of the looming Klopp.
