Leicester freeze ticket prices next season to make them one of the cheapest in the Premier League

Only three clubs offered cheaper season tickets in 2015-16

Premier League leaders Leicester City have decided to freeze season ticket prices for next season despite the huge swell of interest after their incredible season.

Claudio Ranieri's Foxes are, of course, top of the table with just four matches remaining, holding a five point lead over closest rivals Tottenham Hotspur.

But rather than cash in on the success and huge interest that now surrounds the club, Thai owner Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha has decided to freeze season ticket prices for a second consecutive year.

Next season will be the most lucrative in Leicester City history. Not only will the East Midlands club benefit from playing in the Champions League and drawing more prize money by finishing high up the table, but the club will receive a big payment from the bumper new television deal.

Fans of the club will be able to buy a season ticket for as cheap as £365 - only three clubs (Aston Villa, Manchester City and Stoke City) offered cheaper seasons tickets in 2015-16; in comparison Chelsea charge £750 and Arsenal £1,014 for their cheapest season ticket.

The most expensive season ticket at the King Power Stadium will again cost £730; that price was in the middle of the pack this season.

Mr Srivaddhanaprabha has run a number of fan pleasing initiatives this season, including handing out free beer and doughnuts to celebrate his birthday.

Current season ticket holders have until 14 May to renew their season tickets.
