Arsenal's two-goal hero from their League Cup win over Tottenham in the week, Mathieu Flamini, keeps his place in midfield for the trip to Leicester City today, with Francis Coquelin still out with a knee problem.
Theo Walcott returns to the Gunners' starting XI up front instead of Olivier Giroud.
Nathan Dyer misses out for Leicester with a knee injury.
Before kick-off, Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger said about Alexis Sanchez, who scored in this fixture last season but is yet to open his account this term:
"I think I played him very early before he was completely fit, physically, that is one explanation.
"The second is that every player who has won a big trophy with the national team (the Copa America with Chile) takes some while to settle and come back to his best.
"I don't worry for Alexis Sanchez. Even when he doesn't score he is still a major threat for everybody and I am confident he will score very soon."
