Liverpool return to the site of their midweek League Cup defeat

Liverpool return to the King Power Stadium just four days after losing 2-0 to Leicester in the third round of the EFL Cup.

Defensive shortcomings and a failure to take chances once undermined Liverpool’s efforts that night so Jurgen Klopp will be hopeful that his side have learned their lessons come Saturday evening.

Jamie Vardy is expected to return for Leicester after missing his side’s victory over the Reds with a groin Strain. For the visitors, Dejan Lovren remains a doubt due back problems while Joel Matip and Emre Can are being assessed after sustaining knocks last week.

What time does it start?

The game kicks off at 5.30pm on Saturday 23 September at the King Power Stadium.

Where can I watch it?

The game will be broadcast on BT Sport 1 with coverage starting at 5pm.

It’s a big game for?

Jurgen Klopp. Another disappointing result would really set the alarm bells ringing at Anfield. Liverpool have not won in their last four games as question marks continue to persist over the state of the side’s backline. Klopp needs his men to put in a convincing and assertive performance against the Foxes on Saturday otherwise the Reds could find themselves a potential eight points off the pace.

The pressure is on for Jurgen Klopp

Player to watch?

Jamie Vardy. The Englishman memorably scored that goal against Liverpool during a 2-0 victory that helped the Foxes along the way in their title-winning season last year. Vardy is set to return on Saturday after suffering a groin strain and will be hoping to hit the ground running. Against a defensively fragile side such as Liverpool, Vardy should be in his element.

Vardy is expected to line up against Liverpool on Saturday

Leicester 1 Liverpool 2, Premier League Asia Trophy, July 2017

First up is West Ham against London rivals Tottenham. Spurs are seeking revenge for May's defeat to West Ham which ended their title challenge.

Slaven Bilic is already under pressure to improve results in the Premier League, what would he give for a repeat of that 1-0 win four months ago?

1898 was the first clash between these two old sides and is the fixture that Slaven Bilic made his West Ham debut in 1996.

He now faces a battle to save his job in East London and former West Ham manager Alan Pardew has told Sky Sports BIlic is under pressure.

"He's a manger that there's genuine love from him they want him to do well. He's still under pressure today to find West Ham a way to get going."

Just the two Premier League goals for Harry Kane but he has scored five in his nine matches against the Hammers for Spurs.

A couple today and a win would prevent the possibility of Spurs slipping away from the front runners. The North London side start the day fifth and already five points adrift from Manchester City and Manchester United.

1 min: Spurs get play underway. The London stadium is packed and loud. Tottenham's first job will be to silence the fans who are up for this one.

2 mins: West Ham nick the ball in their own half and look to release Javier Hernandez early but the forward is offside. Spurs with all the possession at the moment.

4 mins: Marco Arnautovic makes space on the left wing with quick feet and fires in a low cross but Davinson Sanchez clears at the front post.
