Brendan Rodgers has brought in Raheem Sterling for Joe Allen in his only change to his Liverpool team to face Tottenham Hotspur at Anfield from the side who defeated Sunderland 2-1 on Wednesday.

His opposite number, Tim Sherwood, has also made one change to his Spurs' team from their previous match - replacing Mousa Dembele with Gylfi Sigurdsson.

Liverpool: Mignolet, Johnson, Skrtel, Agger, Flanagan, Gerrard, Henderson, Coutinho, Sterling, Sturridge, Suarez

Subs: Jones, Allen, Aspas, Sakho, Lucas, Cissokho, Moses

Tottenham: Lloris, Naughton, Kaboul, Vertonghen, Rose, Bentaleb, Sigurdsson, Lennon, Chadli, Eriksen, Soldado

Subs: Friedel, Dawson, Dembele, Sandro, Townsend, Winks, Kane.
