Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal celebrated his side's 4-2 trashing of Manchester City in Sunday' derby by heading to Manchester's Wing's restaurant, where he bumped into players from his beaten rivals women's side, Toni Duggan and Isobel Christiansen.

Duggan uploaded this snap to her Instagram account today with the message "Heyyy Louis van G!!!! Nice to share a wings with you..."

City and England international Duggan later removed the picture after receiving a stream of abusive messages.

Van Gaal spoke of his plans to go to Wing's during his post-match press conference after the win, telling reporters: "I can go to Mr Wing's because when you win you can go.

"When you lose then the fans are saying, 'what is Mr Louis van Gaal doing? Losing and he goes to the best restaurant of Manchester?' Now I can go. Maybe I shall go."

On Sunday, United won 4-2 thanks to go four points clear of her local rivals in third place.

"I am very proud and I'm very happy for the fans," he added.

"It means a lot for the fans - all the players and staff wanted to give a victory to the fans. If anybody deserves it, it is the fans this season.

"The goal we set at the start of the season was to finish in the top four. I'll be very pleased when we reach that goal.

"I said to [executive vice-chairman] Ed Woodward that it shall not be easy. Now we are in the first four, but we have six games still to play. It is not done yet but we are on our way."
