Vincent Kompany is likely to again feature for Manchester City after returning from a knee injury at Chelsea last Sunday.

"He got through the game and got through it very well," the City first-team coach, David Platt, said. "There were no after effects, he iced it afterwards as a precaution." Gaël Clichy (ankle) and Jack Rodwell (hamstring) will miss out for City.

Wigan give tests to Shaun Maloney and Gary Caldwell and captain Ivan Ramis (hamstring) is a doubt, while James McArthur and Franco Di Santo may earn recalls.

Odds Wigan 5-1 Draw 16-5 Manchester CIty 8-15

Kick-off 8pm (Sky Sports 2; Highlights BBC 1, 10.45pm)

Referee M Halsey (Hertfordshire)
