Manchester City vs Arsenal: Santi Cazorla's dance leads the Gunners' celebrations at the Etihad
Video: Spaniard wins both Man and Dancer of the Match award against City
Long before tweets and selfies became the football fashion when revelling in team victories, it was the simple goal celebration that encapsulated the joy of the moment and was then plastered on the back pages of newspapers the following morning.
Thus, it was with a mixture of nostalgia, amusement and a bit of embarrassment that viewers of Arsenal's victory against Manchester City witnessed Santi Cazorla's dance after his free-kick led to the Gunners' second goal against the champions.
Video shows the Spanish playmaker sending his free-kick into the City box and watching as Olivier Giroud glides a header past Joe Hart. He then turns and performs a brief, well, "jig", before fist-pumping the air and getting a huge hug from Nacho Monreal.
It was a celebration enough to take away from pretty-boy Giroud's sliding effort in front of the Arsenal faithful, and attention that Cazorla deserves.
The Spanish midfielder opened the goalscoring from the penalty spot and was instrumental in a famous Arsenal victory, their first at the Etihad since October 2010.
He was voted Man of the Match and said afterwards that "the team had a good spirit".
He had good rhythm too.
