Ander Herrera and Juan Mata - both midfielders, both Spanish and both among Manchester United's best players.

So how can they be split? The cross-bar challenge of course.

The duo competed in the training drill, with both taking it in turns to chip the ball from the edge of the box and hit the cross-bar.

With the pair costing Manchester United a combined total of around £70m, it was always likely to be a tight contest.

Mata switched from Chelsea in January for £37.1m, arriving at the club with a huge reputation after a couple of successful years at Stamford Bridge.

Herrera arrived at the club over the summer but has already made a quick impression under Louis van Gaal, being among the first names on the team-sheet under the Dutchman.
