Heading into the Premier League match against Southampton tonight, Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal revealed the ongoing concerns surrounding the fitness of striker Radamel Falcao.

The Colombian, who arrived on loan at Old Trafford amid much fanfare, is yet to make an impact at Manchester United where he has so far scored just one goal. He may have to wait longer yet to do so according to Van Gaal, who revealed that Falcao is incapable of playing for more than 20 minutes at a time.

The striker has come off the bench in United's last two matches and it seems that is likely to be the role he continues to play.

"I have selected him in spite of the fact he can only play for 20 minutes," said Van Gaal.

At least Van Gaal will be able to call on captain Wayne Rooney who missed the recent victory over Stoke City with concerns over his knee. The Manchester United manager has confirmed the striker will play during the game at St Mary's.

Whilst those two players should feature at some point during the Premier League meeting against fourth-place Saints, there still remain numerous players sidelined. Here, we take a look at who's on the treatment table.

United with move up to third in the league with victory.
