Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal has stuck with Wayne Rooney in the starting XI for the visit of West Bromwich Albion to Old Trafford this afternoon.

In an unchanged line-up from the Champions League win in midweek against CSKA Moscow, the Red Devils' attacking trio includes Anthony Martial and Juan Mata.

Bastian Schweinsteiger and Michael Carrick sit behind with Ashley Young and Marcos Rojo expected to play in wing-back roles.

Tony Pulis, the West Brom boss, starts with Salomon Rondon in attack while James McClean and Darren Fletcher lie in midfield.

Line-ups

Manchester United: De Gea; Young, Smalling, Blind, Rojo; Carrick, Schweinsteiger; Lingard, Mata, Martial; Rooney.
